Ken Jimbo Appointed as Council Member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Geopolitics (2025–2026)
The International House of Japan (IHJ), a public interest incorporated foundation based in Minato-ku, Tokyo (President: James Kondo), is pleased to announce that Ken Jimbo, Managing Director of IHJ and President of Asia Pacific Initiative has been appointed as a Council Member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Geopolitics for the 2025–2026 term.
The Global Future Council on Geopolitics brings together 20 leading experts from diverse fields including diplomacy, security, economics, and technology. The Council explores policy recommendations to address the evolving nature of global security in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment. Over its two-year term, the Council will work to promote sustainable global peace and stability through strategic dialogue and collaborative outputs.
Ken Jimbo commented as follows:
“Today’s geopolitics is defined by growing complexity—where values and interests often conflict. With major shifts in power, rapid technological change, and evolving alliance structures, I aim to contribute to the global agenda by offering insights from Japan and the Indo-Pacific region.”
Ken Jimbo will continue to serve as Managing Director of the International House of Japan alongside his role on the Council.
