News

Since the founding of I-House in 1952, the cherry trees in our garden have quietly witnessed decades of international exchange at our institution.
However, more than 70 years have passed since their planting, and many have now reached old age, making their preservation an urgent priority. To ensure that this irreplaceable landscape is passed on to future generations, we are launching the following special support programs.
Sakura Heritage Project : ¥1,000,000
Fundraising Period: February 27 – April 30, 2026
Fundraising Goal: ¥10,000,000
All contributions received will be used as part of our 70th Anniversary Fundraising Initiative and dedicated exclusively to the preservation of the cherry trees and the continued beauty of our garden.
Specifically, your support will help fund the renewal of aging trees, grafting, and ongoing cultivation and care—efforts essential to carrying the life of these cherry trees into the future.
