Profile

Born in Toyama Prefecture in 1966. After working as a fund manager at major Japanese and foreign investment management firms, he founded Rheos Capital Works Inc. in 2003. He launched the "Hifumi" series of investment trusts and grew them into funds embraced by a broad base of individual investors.
In 2026, he stepped down as Representative Director of Rheos Capital Works. In the same year, he founded HEVN STAGE, a company engaged in the planning and production of animated works and the development of content and intellectual property (IP).
He is also active in education, serving as Senior Adjunct Professor at Tokyo University of Science, Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Regional Development at Shukutoku University, and Visiting Professor at the Institute of Science Tokyo.
