Profile

Representative to the United Nations, Senior Director & Head of International Strategy, International Council on Environmental Economics and Development (ICEED), and Senior Fellow at the NATO Defense College Foundation. He also serves as Co-Director for UK–EU Energy Security at Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Affairs) and Advisor on Climate Crisis Strategy at the Yale School of the Environment.

David Kazunao Meyer has worked across the private sector, international organizations, and global policy environments, including Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting, where he worked on UN-related projects and business leadership, and Dentsu, where he serves as Senior Strategy Director for global strategy and cross-border initiatives. He currently leads the design and implementation of international policy at a United Nations-accredited think tank.
He has been actively involved in various international frameworks, including the United Nations (UNEP, UNFCCC), OECD (AI expert community), the Council of Europe (AI Committee), and UNECE (automated driving-related forums), contributing to both policy development and real-world implementation.
He is currently leading a long-term international policy initiative integrating AI, energy, and economic security, working across international organizations, governments, and the private sector to build next-generation policy and talent infrastructures.
