Joined Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. in 1996 and was appointed President and CEO of Idemitsu Shokai Co., Ltd. in 2018. Since 2020, has held such positions as President and Chairman of Deetex Shokai K.K. (now Idemitsu Shokai Co., Ltd.), President and CEO of Mita Kosan Co., Ltd., and Chairman of the Board at Power Link Co., Ltd.

Is also actively involved in various other fields, serving as the ujiko sodai (chief representative of parishioners) at Meiji Jingu Shrine, an executive committee member of the Keio Alumni Association (Mita-kai), a director of the Tokyo Fukuoka Kenjinkai, the chairman and director of the Japan Pottery Club, the Chairman of the Meiji Jingu Shodo-kai (Calligraphy Society), and as a trustee of the Minato branch of the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Graduated from Keio University with a degree in economics and completed a night course at the Arabic Language Institute of King Saud University.
