Misato Nagakawa

Profile
Misato earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Public Policy through the CAMPUS Asia programme, as well as a Master of International Relations degree from Peking University's School of International Studies. After graduating, she worked as an SAP consultant at a Japanese IT company on projects in Indonesia. She then worked at an NPO, planning and managing international conferences. She then spent eight years at GLOBIS, serving as a corporate consultant, senior associate and team leader. At GLOBIS University, she led special programmes for the English MBA programme and supported the launch of new courses in Technovate, Asia and Japan. Misato also serves as an adjunct lecturer at Musashi University. She is also the deputy director of Wake Up Japan and was selected for the Davos 50 as a representative of the Global Shapers Community from Northeast Asia. She was a core member of the Trilateral Youth Exchange Network (TYEN) for two consecutive years, having been appointed by the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat.
Misato is currently a PhD student in Global Studies at Sophia University. In 2025, she received the Beyond Millennials Award, sponsored by Business Insider.
