Hifumi Tajima

Profile
After graduating from the University of the Sacred Heart, Hifumi Tajima began her career as a secretary to a Member of the House of Representatives. She later joined the Japan Center for International Exchange (JCIE), where she spent many years working in the field of international exchange and policy dialogue. She has overseen the planning and management of numerous international conferences, including the Shimoda Conference, the U.S.-Japan Parliamentary Exchange Program, the U.S.-Japan Congressional Staff Exchange Program, the UK-Japan 21st Century Group, the U.S.-Japan Women Leaders Dialogue, and the Trilateral Commission. As Chief Program Officer, she played a central role in promoting mutual understanding and serving as a bridge for international dialogue.
In January 2025, the International House of Japan became the Secretariat of the Trilateral Commission Asia Pacific Group, and since April 2025 she has served as Deputy Director of the Asia Pacific Group and Executive Director of the Japan Group.
