Profile

Mitsuteru Tashiro's research focuses on information sociology, with particular emphasis on information ethics and the social dynamics of digital communication. His work on online election campaigning examines how the internet is reshaping political campaigning and electoral behavior in Japan.

He graduated from the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies at Keio University and completed his Ph.D. at the Graduate School of Social Informatics, Aoyama Gakuin University. He previously served as a Project Associate Professor at the Faculty of Policy Studies, Chuo University, and as a Professor at the Institute of Socio-Information Studies, Tama University. He currently serves as a Project Professor at the Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University, and as an Advisor (DX) to the Kanagawa Prefectural Government.
